Looking for a different type of salad? Whether for a main dish, potluck or side then you’ll love this. Delicious, different and easy to make.

Ingredients:

  • 1 14 oz Bag Coleslaw Mix (3 Color Mix)
  • 1 4 oz Bag Dried Cranberries
  • 1 4 oz Bag Walnuts (crushed)
  • 1 Bunch Green Onions (thinly sliced)
  • 1/4 Cup Honey
  • 1 Cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 Cup Sour Cream
  • 1 Large Apple (chopped)
  • 3/4 TSP Ground Ginger

Instructions:

For dressing combine ginger, honey, mayonnaise, sour cream and set aside.

For salad combine apple, coleslaw mix, cranberries, green onions and walnuts into a large bowl. Blend in dressing and serve immediately.

Tips:

  • Coleslaw may last up to five days refrigerated. For best results eat immediately and do not add cup apples and dressing until ready to serve.
  • Less creamy dressing decrease mayonnaise and sour cream to 1/2 cup. Ginger to 1/2 TSP and honey to 3 TBSP.
  • Makes for a light meal or side dish.
  • Minus the apple and dressing prep everything and keep them individually refrigerated until ready to serve.
  • Side compliment to burgers, grilled chicken or seafood.
  • Sour cream substitute is plain yogurt.
  • Walnut substitutes: almonds, cashews, hazelnuts, peanuts, pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds.
