Onboard space is always considered prime real estate, dually important is functionality and multipurpose use.
In our stateroom above our bed, we have an open bookshelf. With books throughout the vessel, this space would be best converted to a cabinet for winter clothes storage, rather chilly attire. Finding a responsive Carpenter willing to take on the project seemed problematic. Flawlessly matching to the existing wood color would also be a challenge. Relentless, for a solution the idea morphed upon seeing an electrical box artwork cover. Concept tweaked by using cabinet spring lift hinges and a piece of wood to cover the opening. Considering all the possibilities, we were drawn to trendy resin ocean artwork.
This custom piece is not only a room focal point but also functional addition to our berth.
