Cast Iron Seasoning
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Wash in soapy hot water.
- Hand dry.
- Lightly brush the pan with oil.
- Remove any excess with a paper towel.
- Bake upside down for 1 hour.
Rust Removal
- Place the pan in equal parts of vinegar and hot water.
- Soak for at least an hour.

Note
- Always wash with hot and soapy water.
- Avoid soaking in soapy water as soap tends to degrease the oil seasoning.
- Black flakes represent the need for scrub cleaning and seasoning.
- Limit cooking with acids such as lemon juice, tomato, vinegar or wine.
- Oven and stove top (electric, gas, induction) friendly.
- Campfire safe cooking.
- Great for baking, braising, browning, frying, roasting, sauteing and searing.
- Naturally aids iron to your diet.
- Not recommended for boiling or simmering cooking use.
- Outdoor grill safe cooking.
- Preheat the pan over a for at least 10 minutes or 20 – 30 minutes in the oven before use. Once hot, it will stay hot.
- Use canola, flaxseed, shortening or vegetable oil for cooking. Best for high smoke oils.
- Well seasoned pans become more nonstick over time.
