Select herbal plants such as Basil, Cilantro, Chives, Mint, Oregano, Parsley, Rosemary, Sage, Spearmint, Tarragon and Thyme can be grown in water.
Of these we herbal plants as mentioned above we usually have basil onboard. Simply, because Caprese Salad is a favorite meal or snack.
How to Water Grow?
- Cut a piece from a healthy and mature plant.
- Fill the container with water.
- Place the plant in container.
- Place in an indirect bright spot.
Tips
- Adds a pleasant aroma to the room.
- Best grown indoors.
- Canning jars work well but should be stored while underway.
- Change water everyday.
- Longevity varies by plant from weeks to months.
- Narrow mouth jars work great.
- Once roots are established you may transfer to a soiled pot if desired.
- Only a few inches of water necessary, enough to submerge the root.
- Regularly inspect for signs of disease.
- Remove any leaves underwater.
- Roots usually grow within 2 weeks.
