On Wednesday, 3/18/26 our security camera captured a unknown person boarding our vessel. Unknown person disembarked and captured on security camera to squeegee sweep water the parking lot area. Jacques immediately dashed from the hotel to the boatyard to investigate. Upon his arrival, he inquired with the Security Guard with video footage, who advised it was a Patagonia Services Division LLC Representative. Since, the person walked to all three doors of our doors and bottom coat painting did not warrant such boarding, Jacques proceeded to track him down at the boatyard to further inquire. According to PSD Representative, he was told by his boss to remove a ice-maker onboard. UGH, not on our boat because we don’t even have onboard! Calling his boss, he boarded the wrong vessel!
At the time of this incident we were the largest vessel in the boatyard, only Nordhavn there, Soul Mates named vessel, and primarily white hull power vessel. So, I’m personally still baffled as to how such an error even occurred.
We did mention the incident with the business owner, who dismissed our concern as the employee was confused. We tried to express if the door was unlocked and we had a ice maker, how fraustrating this would have been for both parties. Stressing the importance of vessel brand, model, and/or name should be used. No apology given.
