Fantastic to witness pods of dolphin feeding early this morning circling around us and in the distant.
Jacques been so fantastic, so I made him a hot breakfast for a change. Cheese and egg omelet on a toasted croissant. Whenever we find a French bakery we always stock up the freezer.
Made water again while underway. YIPPIE!
YIKES, from afar we could see just a sea of skittle colors in the distance. Further research, revealed that we were approaching the Off Soundings Club Fall Series, a point-to-point race starting off near New London Ledge Light (New London, CT) and finishes in eastern Long Island/Shelter Island/Greenport. Typically between 100 – 150+ boats ranging from 24′ – 60′.
OMG, we got evicted from Sag Harbor Launch, Moorings & Services (Sag Harbor, NY)! Our 2 Cents Review and experience.
Forced to quickly pivot we decided to anchor overnight and proceed onward to Port Jefferson, NY tomorrow, Saturday, 9/19/26 vs staying in Sag Harbor, NY as originally reserved until Monday, 9/21/26. Jacques was most disappointed not to dine at the French restaurant, Le Bilboquet (Sag Harbor, NY) within walking distance of the docks. Along with dining, exploring, and shopping.
Anchored a 16′ – 24′ a Bayliner vessel circled around our anchored vessel. Jacques greets them and they were curious on the make and model. Female onboard conveys he was the former Mayor of Edison, NJ (Thomas Lankey).
Witnessed two seaplanes arrive and take off from a nearby floating dock.
