Our queen bed needed a headboard. Like most boats the space is unique. Whether height or width posed so many challenges with the typical headboard shopping with the traditional land based beds. We really didn’t want to venture into a custom route either. Finally stumbling on wall headboards opened the door of possibilities.
Tips
- Headboard really softens the room. Also practical comfort.
- Installation at anchorage is possible providing there’s little movement.
- Painters blue tape does not leave a residue and is a great edging level reference guide.
- Temperatures below 68F require a hair dryer or heat gun to warm adhesive tape for best results.
- Temporarily use painters blue tape to hold them in place whether horizontal or vertical before permanently placing. Vertical placement worked best in our space area.
- The mattress and pillows will cover the gap area. In our case even covered the prior owners multiple holes from the light installation.
