Onboard space is prime real estate, and dual functionality is important. While I have made homemade buttermilk pancakes in the past from scratch, I don’t find a quick use for the fresh buttermilk. For many years, and convenience we have used Bisquick Shaker Bottles and Pearl Milling (formerly Aunt Jemima).

Over the winter of 2023, I came across Cultured Buttermilk Blend and followed the buttermilk pancake recipe on the container. Much to our surprise, it was lighter than other powder mixtures we tried.

To test the taste further, I replaced fresh eggs with Egg Replacer. Again, the taste or fluffiness of the buttermilk pancakes was compromised.
