Onboard we enjoy grilling, perhaps one of our favorites is a marinated flank steak.
Flank Steak Marinade Ingredients:
- 2 – 3 TBSP Brown Sugar
- 1 Flank Steak
- 1/2 Small Fresh Garlic Bulb
- 1 Small Fresh Onion
- 1 TBSP Olive Oil
- Sherry Cooking Wine
- Soy Sauce
Rinse steak with clean water. Set aside. Add brown sugar, olive oil, and equal half parts of sherry cooking wine and soy sauce in a marinating container. Mix well until brown sugar is dissolved. Place steak in marinating liquid. Slice a small onion and separate rings lying on top of the steak, followed by the fresh garlic. Refrigerate and marinate for 24 – 48 hours. Grill and cook until your preferred doneness.
Tips
- Baked potato was prepared via the microwave.
- I have substituted the sherry for other cooking wines.
- Green stuff is homemade Chimichurri sauce.
- Low sodium soy sauce works well.
- Marinade is disposed of afterwards along with the garlic and onions.
- Marinade should fully cover the steak.
- You may add more or less brown sugar as desired.
