Ingredients

  • 1 lb Extra Large Uncooked Shrimp (Deveined, Peeled & Thawed)
  • 1 Lime (Juiced & 1/2 Zest)
  • 3 TBSP Olive Oil
  • 1 TSP Chili Powder
  • 1/2 TSP Cumin
  • 2 TBSP Fresh Cilantro
  • 1 TSP Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 TSP Onion Powder
  • 1/4 TSP Ground Black Pepper
  • 1/2 TSP Salt

Instructions

Heat olive oil in a saucepan. Add uncooked shrimp and spices. Before fully cooked add lime juice and rind. Garnish with fresh cilantro. Serve hot.

Tips

  • Alternative to stovetop cooking is baking at 400°F for approximately 10 minutes; time will vary by oven and shrimp size.
  • Compliments a serving of basmati, coconut or fried rice.
  • Dish makes for a great appetizer or meal.
  • Omit the lime and grind from the cooking instructions, if preparing as an appetizer create a dip by whipping together: 1/2 cup fresh cilantro (chopped), 1 cup olive oil, 2 lime juices, 1 lime zest and salt to taste.
  • Shrimp is considered pink once fully pink. It’s easy to overcook them.
