- Regularly Inspect Vessels Fuel System. Check for leaks and bilge.
- Use Absorbent Pads & Sheets. Helps in preventing splashes into the water.
- Use a Clean Way Fuel Kit. Prevents overfilling and spillage.
In the event, of fuel or oil spills you should:
- Identify, contain and hopefully stop the leak.
- Notify the marina.
- Report it to the Coast Guard Response Center, 800-424-8802. Likely to require amount, cause, location. source and weather conditions.
- Consult with your Insurance Carrier.
