Dockwa reservations.
Dock team is available until 7PM.
During our stay, including the weekend, TiKi at the Top was closed and access pad locked. We suspect as a result to staff and wedding focus, too bad for the view must be spectacular up there.
During our stay, with the exception to ours, the floating docks were replaced. For a stern on/off with the gangway there was approximately only 4″ for edge footing and cleats to tend too.
During peak season, dockage lines are known to form as vessels are received one at a time and delays occur with the complimentary shuttle service.
Enter The Great Salt Pond harbor, follow the channel until you pass Red Marker 2. Continue to follow the channel until you approach Red Marker 14. Directly off your starboard beam is their two-story dock bar with a blue and white awning. Hail on VHF Channel 11 for slip assignment.
Ferry Service offers daily and regular transportation.
Floating docks are along the main dock and are only tied to your stern to hop on/off vessel.
From July 1 – Labor Day guests must wear bracelets that identify you as a guest. Required for bikes, pool, water sports and insurance waiver completion. Visit the Dock Office or Hotel Front Desk.
From the docks, to the complimentary shuttle service and laundry room there is a steep hill to climb. Call the resort front desk and they’ll send a golf cart to pick you up. Downfall, their only a two person (driver + passenger) golf carts with a open bed trunk so it’s dirty (so don’t wear white attire).
Island is best known for its clear waters, dramatic bluffs, fun-filled activities, miles of free public beaches, Nature Conservancy, and preserved open spaces.
It would have been cheaper to lodge at the resort than a slip. That’s without any cleaning or bed making service.
Lodging Options: Cottage Suites (2) – Ideal for families are the kitchenette suites to include a separate living room area and a queen sofa bed. Standard Guest Rooms (42) – Rooms are split across five nautical themed buildings: Crow’s Nest, Upper Deck, Midship, Pier 76, and The Galley House.
One of New England’s largest resort marinas.
On Saturday, 6/20/26 we over heard a families disappointment that the pool was going to be closed in the afternoon due to the wedding reception under the tent. So, if you hoping to utilize all of the amenities, just make sure there’s not a event happening restricting you to do so.
Open air historic site and public shelter is at 29 Water Street in Old Harbor.
Overnight dockage guests will receive $0.10 off each gallon of fuel.
Popular Attractions: B.I. Historical Society Museum & Shop, Island Cemetery, Mohegan Bluffs, Ocean View Pavilion, Old Harbor Point, Painted Rick, Payne Overlook, Rodman’s Hollow, Southeast Lighthouse, Settlers Rock, Statue of Rebecca, The 1661 Inn Farm & Gardens, & The Sacred Labyrinth.
Private events at The Landing will prevent public dining. That was our dinner attempt experience on Friday, 6/19/26.
Quick alternative dinner spot, The Oar (New Shoreham, RI) off the property sits on the southern end of the pond and accessible via tender (offers a dinghy dock too). Ceiling is famously decorated with thousands of custom-painted oars left behind by boaters, families, and visiting yacht clubs over the many decades.
Smoking is prohibited on the fuel dock and in food service areas.
There was no communication or The Landing closure to the public for dinner. Otherwise, we would have planned accordingly and differently.
The Landing closes for 1 hour (4PM – 5PM) between lunch service (11AM – 4PM) and dinner (5PM – 9PM) service.
Tide fluctuates 4′ – 6′ daily.
To utilize the stern floating dock, it’s best to back in from the channel. Fortunately, there were no other vessels docked, otherwise we may not have been able to spin around in the fairway.
Trader’s Dock Bar is a popular spot amongst the locals, for their banana and plain mudslides..
Utilizes dynamic pricing, which means that rates will fluctuate based on demand. Supply & Demand! Rates vary from $8/ft – $16.65/ft.
Viking Superstar Ferry in late Spring (May – Mid June) operates on weekends only (Friday, Saturday, & Sunday) usually commencing around Memorial Day weekend. Peak Summer (Mid June – Mid September) operates daily, arriving at approximately 10:15AM (9AM Montauk, NY departure) and departs at 5PM. During July and August, additional departures are frequently added on Saturdays. Early Fall (Mid September – Mid October) their schedule drops back to an extended weekend schedule, running on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays until roughly Columbus Day. Ferry carries 225 seated passengers.
We don’t normally ultilize the marinas laundry room services. However, our washer died the day prior to our Atlantic City, NJ departure so we’re forced too. Of the 4 washers only 2 working and of the 4 dryers only 3 working during our stay.
We were impressed to see the dock hand regularly walk along our vessel to inspect fenders and our lines. Well done!
Within 5 miles: car rental, groceries, and medical facilities.
