Special Comments:

• Legs elevated listening to the closing arguments in the Lindsay Clancy case.
• As if trip planning (air draft, draft, LOA, water depth) isn’t enough, we are being mindful of trauma hospitals within our route. Of the two I have visited, I can honestly say, neither are of the trauma caliber of Philadelphia, PA. Yes, I just typed two. So, about an hour until our marina approach. I stand by Jacques in the helm seat, and note the screen ETA. Walk away questioning whether I can tolerate what’s happening or hopeful that maybe I was misreading screen. So, I return and ask. He responds. And as calm as I could, I said, “not to alarm you but, I’m experiencing left arm numbness and tingling, we need to get there sooner rather than later. Forgo the hookups. Notify the marina ASAP and make any arrangements necessary“. Suddenly, the RPM’s kicked into a speed that the vessel hasn’t been pushed since our survey. Jacques in this storm, was the warrior! Navigating dodging lobster pots, mounting lines/fenders, and coordinating with the marina. Upon our arrival, two dock hands (yes, I handled my lines) were waiting, golf cart, and more importantly talk about “luck” a recent retired Chief EMT who came onboard to assess me (clammy, left arm tingling/numbness, nausea, slightly winded and just not feeling right). While the marina has a courtesy car (and offered) he suggested an ambulance instead. Long story short, every bloodwork, scan, and ultrasound were normal. Meanwhile, I’m still experiencing that left arm tingling/numbness and blood pressure acting like it’s on a roller coaster. 
• We were absolutely whipped returning to the boat around 11:30PM.

Docked: Safe Harbor Wentworth By The Sea (New Castle, NH) Dock: A, Slip: 12

Special Comments:

• We slept in until 7:30AM. Being home in my own bed never felt so good.
• Regardless, of the no findings test, I know my body well enough to know something is going on. So, our plan and pace remains heading towards Philadelphia, PA.
• Picked up our mail delivery that arrived yesterday.
• Enjoyed a delicious lunch at Great Island Eatery (New Castle, NH).
• Walked the docks.
• Borrowed the complimentary loaner car to provision at Hannaford (Portsmouth, NH). Unusual to feel exhausted and ready to check myself out as well.
• Met fellow transients on Dock A.
• Returned to the Great Island Eatery (New Castle, NH) for a dessert cup of ice cream and watch the sunset. Incrediable cloud formations had us to kids calling out our sightings: bunny, dinosaur, man pipe smoking, old woman hair bun, and sleeping man is what I recall.

• The past 24 – 48 took a toll on my legs. The left arm numbness and tingling still exists. Bruising is at a high. Just feel fatigue and sluggish.
• Low key day onboard.
• Jacques spent some time working in the Engine Room over routine maintenance and care stuff.

• This afternoon we enjoyed a delicious lunch at Latitudes (New Castle, NH).
• Walked around the property and visited the adjacent Wentworth by the Sea Hotel (New Castle, NH). We do hope to return to self indulge in some spa pampering next time. Being unable to do so with a active clot was like a diabetic going into the candy store.
• Enjoyed a dessert at Salt Kitchen & Bar (New Castle, NH).
• Spent the evening on predeparture routine chores.

Departure: Safe Harbor Wentworth By The Sea (New Castle, NH) (Dock: A, Slip: 12) 8:30AM

Special Comments:

• Departure Day!
• Medical emergency due to bleeding has changed our course from the Private Mooring Ball (Boston, MA) to Yacht Haven Marina & Inn (Boston, MA). Uncertain what condition I would be in upon arrival, Jacques asked for a easy in/out slip. Mustering the bottom of the barrel, I could hear Jacques on the radio and kept saying I don’t see a fairway passage. It was tight. Explains why the mega yacht had fenders hung. He managed to spin it with little room for error. I tossed my three lines and was done for.
• Again, another Emergency Room visit upon our arrival! We Uber to Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston, MA). Multiple labs and tests performed.

Vessel Docked: Yacht Haven Marina & Inn (Boston, MA) Crew: Home Suites (Philadelphia, PA)

Special Comments:

• Medical emergency due to bleeding has changed our course from the Private Mooring Ball (Boston, MA) to Yacht Haven Marina & Inn (Boston, MA). Again, another Emergency Room visit upon our arrival! We Uber to Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston, MA). Multiple labs and tests performed. At 6:30AM discharged and to follow up with my Specialist.
• Crashed in bed for a few hours. Showered and packed to catch the train from Boston, MA to Philadelphia, PA. We missed the fast train departure and caught the regional train for 6 hours and 12 minutes.
• Crashed upon our Home Suites (Philadelphia, PA) arrival but only after a shower. Train is so cruddy, I felt like I may burn my clothes (LOL). Trauma Surgeon offered a direct admission upon arrival but, I opted to get Jacques settled instead and outpatient appointments for now.

• To think, we would have been cruising today I would have had another new symptom while underway. Needless to say, we’re glad to be here. Pretty sure my Trauma Surgeon is too.
• Have a appointment with the Vascular
• Went across the street to the Reading Terminal Market (Philadelphia, PA) busier than expected for a weekday. Staff say it because of the Bruno Mars concert. Had lunch there.
• Strolling the Reading Terminal Market (Philadelphia, PA) aisles and approaching a particular vendor, a leather bag drew me in. The leather felt familiar, the colors vibrant. In an instant, my mind scrolled through a library vault and began fast-forwarding our time spent in Fez, Morocco. Everything became a flashback to our visits: the places where the leather was foot-dyed, where mosaic art pieces were created, and fondly remembering the hand cleansing before eating with our fingers (and so much more). One of our most memorable nights was upon arrival, having dinner on the rooftop and hearing the powerful call to prayer echo across the village. Deeper inside the Little Marrakesh Bazaar (Philadelphia, PA) booth, I could feel that knot in my throat, a poignant reminder of all the great adventures we have had together. After three years of searching, I finally found exactly what I had been looking for to cover a unique bare spot (for Nordhavn 47 owners, it’s the long panel just at the bottom of the steps between the cabins).
• Afterwards we stopped by one of our favorite places, 4 Seasons Nail (Philadelphia, PA) for a mani/pedi.
• Returned to the Reading Terminal Market (Philadelphia, PA) for some nail care pampering.

• Early this morning I had my appointment with a vascular physician at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital (TJUH). After three ER’s most refreshing not to be looked at oddly and more importantly that I’m not going crazy after several clear tests but, realization that it is vascular. Awaiting another consultation and more testing. During the interuim, the diagnosis is Post Thrombotic Syndrome.
• Since, it’s been like forever since we had Chick-fil-A (Philadelphia, PA) for lunch. YUM!
• Jacques walked to CVS (Philadelphia, PA) for some necessities that I forgot to pack.

Special Comments:

• Walked to Cily Chicken Rice & Thai Food (Philadelphia, PA) in China Town for lunch.
• Stopped at CVS (Philadelphia, PA) for a few more necessities. Shocking to see almost everything was key locked and required a associate. Security guard standing post at the door as well.
• Jacques assuming we would sitting at the hospital insisted on packing jeans and long sleeves. Well, he’s been cooking in this humidity and local temperatures so we went to Ross (Philadelphia, PA) to pick up shirts, shorts, and shoes for him. Proof that I’m not feeling well, and walking is so painful, not even shopping therapy was of interest.
• Headed over to the Reading Terminal Market (Philadelphia, PA) for a light dinner, a crepe but they were closed, WONK, wonk! With not much else of interest we headed to the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown (Philadelphia, PA) as they seemed to offer several dining options. Actually had delicious appetizers and salad for me at Circ Bar (Philadelphia, PA). Learned they have their own rooftop garden of herbs and beehives. The calamari dip was made with chili sauce, spicy honey, and garlic. Delicious. Very lightly artichoke amazing!
• Afterwards we stopped at the nearby 7-Eleven (Philadelphia, PA) for Jacques yogurt, We were shocked as a customer yelling and screaming at the staff. Cops called and appeared quickly but by then he was gone.
• Walking back to the hotel, observed a homeless man yelling and screaming at a meal delivery cooler. Needless, to say the streets come alive at dark.

• Awoken at 8AM to drums playing from the streets. Turned out to be the Association of Kannada Kootas of America (AKKA) Silver Jubilee World Kannada Conference hosted at the Philadelphia Convention Center (Philadelphia, PA). AKKA Jaathre – Meravanige cultural procession. Just a sea of vibrant colors as Kanjeevaram sarees for women and silk panche with shalya for men attire.
• We were going to go to Reading Terminal Market (Philadelphia, PA) for a crepe however, the crowd inside was horrendous so we turned around. Fortunately, had some Thai take out from yesterday.
