Portsmouth Regional Hospital
333 Borthwick Ave, Portsmouth, NH 03801
Date of Service: Thursday, 8/27/26 (Emergency Room via Ambulance – Left Arm Tingling)
Cons: Failure to Provide Blood Thinner RX in a Timely Fashion, Labs/Test Results, Lacked RN Visibility, No Meal Provided, & Quality of Care
Pros: Quick Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Assessment, Quick to Order Labs/Test, & Room Provided
Comments: My RN appeared to be drowning in patient care while colleagues sat at the desk doing nothing. Only after causing a fuss was my blood thinner eventually dispensed. This came after providing my prescription list, reminder one hour before, two hours after the scheduled dose and finally calling the Nursing Supervisor on call for intervention to discharge or dispense RX.
Physician only conveyed no finding results on labs and test, never examined nor asked any questions.
Some patients were in guernies in the hallway.
The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant was fantastic. She comprehended my condition but when she left at 4PM so did the level of care.
