Location: Inside the Ranges Anchorage (31°05.904N 81°27.186W)
Duration: Friday, 4/17/26 – Saturday, 4/18/26
Reason: Planned Overnight Anchorage Stop from our Overnight Ocean Crossing with Cold Front Moving Faster than Predicted
Pros: Anchor Hold, Calm Waters, Easy On/Off from Ocean, Hold, Location, Low Weekend Ship Traffic, Mud Bottom (Easy to Clean), Near Channel, Peaceful, Protection, Quiet, & Swing Room
Cons: No-Seeums, Ship Traffic, & Wake Zone
Comments: Watch for Shoaling. After 35 hours of a ocean crossing, we preferred to drop anchor with a projected late arrival (9PM – 11PM). Heading into Brunswick Landing Marina (Brunswick, GA) after some much needed sleep; even though they did offer the fuel dock for our late night arrival.
Stay Again: Yes
