Comments: A blind female in a wheelchair arrived via taxi/Uber service. Apparently, a regular in need of colostomy bag. While vocal two Triage RN’s were a bit harsh. Eventually, she was taken ahead and swiftly discharged.

Based on my personal visit I was never offered the luxury of laying flat.

Chairs are multiples linked together.

ER physician was unable to answer specific questions regarding condition and RX.

Exam rooms facing the waiting area has paper covering the windows, however, the opposing side does not. If there was a curtain, the MD never pulled it.

Everyone in the waiting area was offered a warm blanket, the air conditioning was cranked up.

Healthcare professionals frequently had to approach patients right in the open waiting area to openly discuss highly personal medical conditions, next steps, and discharge instructions for all to hear. IV bags hung and changed in the waiting area. An blue vomit bags distribute like a constellation prize.

Heart wrenching to see the amount of homelessness.

Majority of the staff encountered seemed to either hate their jobs or be overworked.

Oddest part of the entire experience was the layout of our journey through the hospital ER, as the vast majority of our time was actually spent right out in the waiting room area. We navigated the registrar desk, triage nurse in a small cubicle space, and eventually into an exam room, but every step of the process ultimately routed everyone right back to those waiting room chairs. If the hospital actually had any traditional, private ER rooms, I never once caught a glimpse of one.

Registrar only obtained partial information brought a portal station to the crowded waiting area for further details to be updated.

Short commute to/from Fore Points Marina (Portland, ME).

Triage Physician Assistant (PA) was able to order ultrasound in listening to my triage intake.
