Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice

There’s a wonderful aroma that fills the air with freshly squeezed orange juice. Honestly, I never have to tell Jacques when it’s OJ time. It’s our mid-morning treat!

Tips

  • Fresh squeezed orange juice makes for a delicious Orange Crush cocktail.
  • Frozen oranges can last 6 – 12 months. However, freezing whole oranges is not recommended.
  • Oranges left at countertop room temperature last for approximately 1 week, and in the refrigerator, they can last for 4 weeks.
  • Orange substitutions: Cara Cara, Hamlin, Lima, Mandarin, Naval or Seville.
  • It takes roughly 4 – 6 oranges to fill an 8 – 10 oz cup. Varies by orange size.
  • Valencia oranges make for the best-tasting orange juice for us.
  • We prefer a manual heavy-duty citrus juicer.
