Far less crowded port then we have visited, which we absolutely loved the stop.

In the morning (8/16/26), during our chore day onboard we were asked to move 110′ in the afternoon for a incoming vessel. Would have been nice to know about the move request that the day prior upon extending our overnight stay. So, we weren’t involved on tasks onboard.

Main street of restaurants and shops is on a steep hill.
Marina laundry and restroom is just beyond the adjacent parking lot in the grayish color large building. Combo code required. Not requiring either, I didn’t enter so can’t speak about their cleanliness nor condition.

Placed along the south face dock, there were several white ball fenders stretching along our slip assignment, which was nice.
River current combined with tide and wind can be tricky.
United Farmers Market of Maine is operated and owned marina owners. Nearby (18 Spring Street). Open every Saturday from 9AM – 2PM (year round), offering everything artisans, game room, handmade goods, live music, and freshly prepared foods.
Stay Again: Maybe – The three star down grade from initial consideration of four starts reflects the move during our short stay. As full-time cruisers, once the lines are tight upon arrival, I personally as First Mate don’t touch the lines until our departure nor expect to be moved during our short stays. It’s my and our break! This inconvenience, threw a wrench into our planned afternoon. More importantly being able to start something like laundry or projects without distribution. The move forward also put us in shallower waters with a 6′ draft which meant our arrival and departure had to be during slack tide. On departure we couldn’t move forward at all due to shallowness and had little room to back up given the curve of the docked vessels bow and our upper deck area. Had to use a Spring line to pivot our bow over the dock to back out. Unneccessary Risk & Liabilty imposed on us!!!
