Comments:

  • Captains Lounge: Marker 46A (blue building) is open Monday – Saturday from 8AM – 5PM and 10AM – 5PM on Sunday.
  • Complimentary bicycle use are not to be taken past the Sandfly area.
  • Community ordiance requires dogs to be leashed at all times. Owners are responsible for solid waste pick up.
  • Courtesy cars are available for 2 hour slot.
  • Driftaway Cafe no longer offers a return ride back to the marina since COVID-19.
  • Filming location featured in several movies: Baywatch (2017), Cape Fear (1962), Gemini Man (2019), The Beach House (2018), The Do-Over (2016), and The Girl From Plainville (2022).
  • Laundry cost $2 each in coins to operate.
  • List of approved contractors available (cleaning, detailing, divers, fiberglass, and mechanics).
  • Lyft, Yellow Cab, and Uber are available.
  • Marine Trawler Owners Association (MTOA) marina partner offers 10 cents off per gallon of fuel price.
  • Most restaurants require the courtesy car or other transportation means to access.
  • Nearby restaurants (1 mile): Auspicious Baking Company, Castaways, Driftaway Cafe, Jalapeno’s, Loc’s Chicken & Waffles, Ming’s Asian Fusion, Papa John’s Pizza, Sandfly BBQ, Tequila’s Town, and Your Pie. A bit further: Cohens Retreat (1.5), The Five Spot Restaurant (1.4), and Wyld Dock Bar (3.1).
  • Nestled in a National Register of Historic Places District, adjacent to the historic Wormsloe Plantation and close to downtown Savannah.
  • Pets are not permitted in the loaner vehicles.
  • Pin Point Heritage Museum highlights the history of seafood processing. Open Thursday – Saturday, 9AM – 5PM, $8 Admission.
  • Restroom/Showers are located on the backside of the office.
  • Return key cards to the office or in dropbox on fuel house before departure.
  • Short commute to/from CVS Drugstore (Savannah, GA), Kroger (Savannah, GA), River Supply Inc (Thunderbolt, GA) Walmart Superstore (Savannah, GA), and West Marine (Savannah, GA).
  • Trash dumpster is in the parking lot across from the marina. Look for the blue shed. White trash bins are on the dock.
  • Wormsloe State Historic Site is accessible by bike or walk. Tours available by bike or tram.
