Customer supplied parts voids any warranties. The hourly rate to install the Garmin transducer previously purchased installation rate of $330/per hour (estimate for 2 1/2 hours) so opted out of that project. Briefly spoke with Kip, who agreed and adjusted the hourly rate.

Our stairway carpentry work exceeded the abilities of the onsite carpentry guys ability and the other request for fiddles and hole patch did not work within combined schedules. The fiberglass guy also does light carpentry work.

Quote Scope Request: Carpentry, Fiberglass, & Transducer Installation.

Rather then arrive with a cart of tools necessary or possibly required for the specific project, both technicians kept having to walk back and forth to/from the shop. We began to assume tools must be shared because every item needed required to walk up to the shop area. Lots of wasted time.

Shocked to be asked while making service work payment prior to our departure if we would like to make a deposit towards other project request (carpentry and KiwiGrip deck application) without receiving the quote. Work completion for the end of August early September. Nice sales tactic but, respectfully we declined until receiving a quote. That’s kinda like giving someone a blank check.

Shortly after our arrival on Thursday, 7/9/26 the team arrived as suggested. Quote received on Friday morning, 7/10/26 with work to commence on Monday, 7/13/26. Based on the scope of work our stay was extended until Wednesday, 7/15/26.

What time they would start and end was not communicated. On Day 2, by 2PM we had to call about the transducer installation because we were departing the following day and would need to drop the tender on the floating dock as requested.
